Vitex, also known as chaste tree berry, has been used throughout the centuries to regulate the menstrual cycle. It is thought to increase and/or balance progesterone, as well as normalize estrogen levels. Vitex has traditionally been used to balance the reproductive system, relieve symptoms of premenstrual symptoms (PMS) and female menopause.
