It is said to help restore liver function after long alcohol and drug consumption, and help with hepatitis, and jaundice. It is also thought to help strengthen the heart and improve circulation. Schisandra has been used for restless leg syndrome and insomnia. It has also been used to help keep the nervous system and immune system in balance.
