Spp. Eucalyptus globulus
Spicy and warm. Expectorant, stimulant, antibacterial and antiseptic.
The oil of eucalyptus is said to be one the strongest antiseptics. Most commonly, eucalyptus is used during colds and flus as an expectorant for damp coughs, in a face steam to be inhaled, or topically on the chest to help clear congestion. It can also be used in topical applications for rheumatism.
