Cumin seed seems to be very popular in both taco seasonings and curry blends. The earthy, nutty flavor is more prevalent in taco seasoning, as a point of reference. In addition to its flavor, cumin is said to help with indigestion, flatulence, bloating, headaches, colic, and general digestive weakness. In the past, it has also been used to relieve pain from minor bruises, and injuries.
